What is that?

The kids entered the classroom yesterday morning to see this strange looking plant laying on the front table.

 

They were curious and asked questions.  It was delivered by a parent for us to all enjoy.  After recess, the kids drew and labelled the cauliflower plant and made observations based on the five senses.  Sound was a difficult one to describe.  Today the students worked in groups of 5 to create a word list that described the cauliflower, which I then typed into Wordle and created a pretty cool representation of their descriptions.  I hope to have them displayed in the next few days.  Come check them out!

So, after looking at my long lost blog, I realized how great it was to post all the incredible things we did in our class and school.  With the year almost done, after a pretty challenging last year, I thought I would maybe try to post some things to finish out the year.  I can't make promises, but I will give it my best!
